First things first, I am going to start off with some commentary I forgot and then I will respond to the comments listed below and then back to the regularly schedule blog.
Oh...wait...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BILLY!!!
Ok, I have learned NYC is bad for my skin. It is always oily and I am sure you all wanted to know that. I have also learned mom does not love Disney as much as she says she does other wise, she wouldn't have jumped 10 feet when we saw a couple of rats and then she proceeded to walk in the middle of the street to avoid coming within 5 ft of them. I have been teasing her that it is just Remy or Mickey, but she is not having any of it. They are just misunderstood chefs or evil corporation symbols...
I did not buy anything at the purse mecca, because they had no burberry. I figure coach is not that far off the affordability scale so I am not going to buy the fake version and I am not huge fan of Chanel or D &G, so I saved my money. Fishbein, I don't care how they make them, I just want a solid nice looking purse for cheap. Bonnie, I hope you have fun tonight and I am sure your week will get to be more exciting!
Now for Day 3...
We leave early and we are off to the Statue of Liberty. I swear to you it is was like re-enacting the trip from Ellis Island to the mainland. We were herded and searched and they had the most intense metal detectors I have ever seen. I don't even what to know what they could possibly be seeing when they are scanning me...I am pretty sure my underwear was clean...anyways. We get on the boat and then we see her. She is really beautiful . This is where my conservative side comes out. I LOVE my country. It is everything to me and I am beyond proud to be an American. The site was amazing, not only for the main reasons people go, but also because there were so many cultures and countries that were in attendance there. (Including this stinky family from France were they don't believe in deodorant...or at least this family didn't.) We went then to Ellis Island and then we made it back to the city.
Mom and I then separated. It was scary, leaving her alone in the big city, but she has proved herself. I go and do the NBC tour and I got to go in the SNL Studio and read from a teleprompter in the NBC News Studio. I almost completely ditched my mom for a taping of Conan O'Brien, but I decided to be a good daughter (First time for everything). I then walked 5th avenue and went and took a picture of my reflection in the Tiffany's window and then I went to the W.O.D. That's right I went to the World of Disney store and we get our discount there! I then walked down to FAO Schwartz and I went to check out their Harry Potter section. It was amazing. I bought my mother a real Hogwarts hat. I am off to go meet up with her to see how she did on her own.
We meet at the Empire State Building. (Here's a tip for you: Go to the bathroom before you go there. The bathroom isn't until the 2nd floor and you have to go through a 30 minute line (at least) to get there. I barely survived!) I give her the hat and then she says, since she has this real hat now I should wear the other one during the convention and that she is paying for my registration, so I really should take a picture with the BOTH of us dressed up. My response: "You masterful guilt tripping skills got me here, but they will not get me in that hat." She starts telling me about her trip to the American Museum of Natural History. She has been so excited to go there for a year and she was desperate to see there new planetarium show. So she gets there and pays her $22 to see the show and starts walking around and realizes that she pretty much saw the museum in "A Night at the Museum" and she just saw similar exhibits in DC at the Smithsonian, but she is going to have her planetarium show! She gets in the theater and finds the best seat...she is ready to go. It starts...and that is all she remembers, because she passes out. Here's the thing, I am not surprised when I hear this story, because everytime we see an IMAX movie or go to a Planetarium she passes out. It is cold and soothing and comfortable and the next she knows the stranger sitting next to her starts nudging her because she is snoring! You know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result...I am just saying.
The Empire State Building is nice and mom denied me from buying book there. I carry on and we make our way to Little Italy for an amazing dinner and gelato! We were sitting next to this family however, that was in a huge fight and following every Italian American stereotype. Mom said it was like going to Tony's and Tina's Wedding (the dinner show).
I am sad to report I did not find Tina Fey. You see Tina:Me::JJ:Billy. It is unhealthy and unnatural. I pretty sure she took her daughter Alice and her husband Richard and they left the City for awhile, but don't worry it is only a matter of time to we meet...only a matter of time!
Alright kiddies, I am off to pack and then tomorrow is my first day in CANADA...eh! I solemnly swear not to follow Britt's footsteps and get kicked out of a country.

I came in to work today all prepared to write you a comment about that picture of you and your mom- remarking on your mom's Slytherin green robes and asking if she had switched sides and befriended the enemy. But you had to ruin that Megan by being a nice daughter and buying your mother an official Hogwarts hat. Oh well. It is more fitting that you wear the green anyway.
Oh Megan I'm glad you're having such a good time! You did miss a grand show at Bw3 on Billy's bday though. I will not tell you the story for he can tell it much better than I, and well typing it will not it Justice by any means. Have fun in Canada, and bring me like a key chain or shot glass or something that says canada....will be the closet I get to going there for a while... (sad face)
